    Situation

Blythswood aim to set up a bakery in Satu Nou, western Romania. As the village does not have a bakery at present, this will provide an essential service and much needed employment. But it is much more than that. Calin and Emilia, who will run the bakery, intend to use the profits to help meet the social needs of people in the immediate locality. Their plan is to open an Old Folks Home for people who cannot look after themselves in their own homes and have no family support. They will also continue to provide a home for boys who have been left without the support and skills necessary for independent living. Calin and Emilia intend the project to be self financing and they want to develop a successful enterprise which will enable them to help local people living in desperate need. Help us to make Emilia’s dream come true and to get her plans underway. £70,000 will start the work on the bakery.
