Local Solutions operates the Liverpool Carers Centre, which offers a support and advice service for carers. Services include home-from-hospital support, male carers group, carers for people with mental health issues, carers emergency card. There is also a rolling programme of events running on a daily basis in the centre.

Situation
Local Solutions works closely with carers and their dependants, to deliver support services that meet their needs. To ensure joined up service provision for our service users, we work closely with partner agencies including Liverpool City Council, Knowsley Borough Council, NHS and Primary Care Trusts. Thousands of carers in Merseyside currently benefit from our support services, and we are proud of the wide range of services that we deliver FREE OF CHARGE. The Carers Project produces a quarterly newsletter, which is mailed to over 2,400 carers who are registered on the Project’s database. The free publication is a valuable source of information for carers, many of whom feel isolated in their caring role.
