    Situation

Each year Homeground assists over 100 young homeless people; all those referred to the project are in real need of accommodation and Homeground’s individualised programme of care and support builds up their self-esteem and life skills towards eventual independent living. The complete all round care service combines accommodation with a whole range of training and support for homeless young people in the region. Many of the young people accommodated at Homground have experienced significant and multiple disadvantage. Homeground has always adopted a policy of working within a holistic approach, regarding housing needs as just one part of the challenge facing its residents. The hostel provides a warm and welcoming environment for its residents. Rooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, ottoman and a fridge. Upon arrival they receive a “welcome pack” containing food and personal cleaning items.
