Overcrowding at King Jesus Charity Home has necessitated building a second storey to the building at a cost of £70,000. Once the building is finished, a delapidated building currently being used as classrooms will be renovated at a cost of £15,000 to provide a much needed dining hall/activity room for the children. An adventure playground is also needed to provide stimulation for the children.

    Situation

Bedrooms designed for 12 children currently house 32, sharing bunk beds. There is no indoor accommodation other than the bedrooms and classrooms during bad weather, so the children have no play space. The children sit on the ground, or on their beds in bad weather, to eat their food. We want to provide dining facilities and a well equipped playroom.
