    Situation

Concertina 10th Anniversary Young Musicians Concert The Concertina Charitable Trust is seeking financial support for its 2008 Young Musicians fundraising concert to celebrate ten years of providing grants for music and access to the arts for the elderly. The event will be held on November 11th 2008 at 7.30pm at Chelsea Old Town Hall, Kings Road, London. Sponsorship would provide tickets for you and your guests for both the concert and the Champagne Reception, advertising in the programme, full acknowledgement of your support in the invitations sent to our extensive database and the knowledge that you are helping to provide joy in the lives of the elderly. We are delighted to have already secured sponsorship from the UK’s leading investment bank, JP Morgan Cazenove, and from the charitable trust, The Bodfach Trust, and we are very keen to welcome some more key sponsors for the event. This year’s 10th Anniversary Concertina Young Musicians Concert will focus on music for the harp and violin. It will feature not only two rising stars but also two internationally renowned musicians. The repertoire is extraordinarily varied and there will be music to suit all tastes. The featured Young Musicians will be harpist Verity Thirkettle and violinist Giles Thirkettle, both selected for their outstanding talent and exciting potential. The internationally renowned musicians will be harpist David Watkins and violinist Michael Bochmann. David Watkins has performed as a soloist with many leading orchestras including the London Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic and London Sinfonietta. Founder of the Bochmann Quartet, violinist Michael Bochmann has performed all over the world, recorded with several record labels and made over 50 broadcasts on BBC radio and television. The concert’s venue of the Chelsea Old Town Hall boasts a prestigious heritage and the elegant main hall and ante-rooms provide a superb setting for this outsanding event.
