    Situation

The Fircroft Trust has recently been given planning permission to build a new residential home for adults with learning disabilities. This is an enormous charity for such a local charity as we need to raise £1m. Our current homes, though lovely, have become unamanageable to our ageing residents. If we don't develop, our residents will no longer be able to stay together and our older residents will have to be sent out of borough as there is currently no provision for them in Kingston. The new Fircroft Park development will have have: • Residential unit for older people with learning disabilities – for 8 people needing 24/7 support. • 3 two-bedded units with ensuite facilities for people with learning disabilities for people needing 24/7 support. • 2 three-bedroomed and 1 two-bed flats for people with more independent support needs • 3 two/three bedroomed flats for independent people with disabilities and/or key workers.
