The Fircroft Trust

Open Christmas

Christmas time is an especially difficult time for people with mental health problems, highlighting their isolation and making it a worrying and stressful time. The Fircroft Centre will provide a welcoming and fun time for over 30 people in the Kingston upon Thames area.

Situation

Many people with mental health problems become isolated from friends and family and find themselves unable to cope - particularly over the Christmas period. Currently the Fircroft Centre is the only place in the borough offering a Christmas service exclusively to people with mentalhealth problems.

Solution

This year the Fircroft Centre will open it's doors during the Christmas period and welcome over 30 people from Kingston and the surrounding area for fun, games and most importantly, support. We will also be opening on Christmas Day. Staff and volunteers will make sure that for them, Christmas really will be a time of friendship and sharing.
