    Situation

    The Dove Service is free at point of use and we aim to remain that way. More professionals (GP's, Social Services etc) are referring more individuals to The Dove Service for counselling, along with individuals referring themselves, we struggle to meet demand. We have also identified that outreach posts are much easier for clients to acces than one central site. Our aim is to increase the outreach posts and extend the service to more areas - becoming much more community based. This involves money! We have a wealth of experience in training around stress, grief and loss, listening skills etc. We are extending this range to include a whole range of management training packages from Time Management to Managing Performance. Running all the training under a Social Enterprise allows us to include topics outside our charitable status and avoids 'muddying the water' around our free point of use service. We need the finance to effectively start up a new business and cover running costs until the new enterprise starts to be, not only self financing but financing the free service.
