Primary school children throughout Nottinghamshire to access curriculum based activities around Design & Technology to help prepare them for the World of Work.

Funds are required to subsidise school visits to the Making it! interactive galleries where children can explore the important "world of work" to see where ideas come from, what is a design, why test things we have made and how do the inventions reach the customer through the use of modern equipment in a fully hands-on environment. Look at designs, make their own kit to take back to school for post-visit curriculum activities. Primary Schools do not have the resource to prepare these young children for desing and technology when moving into the next stage of their education. Funding will provide subsidised access to these facilities and help enhance and refresh our exhibits to keep them relevant and up to date.
