Twenty-four million girls in sub-Saharan Africa are not in school because the cost of education is beyond their families' means. Without an education, these girls are destined for a life of poverty. Camfed urgently needs your support to give girls the opportunity to go to school that could transform their lives. Education is the key to giving girls the knowledge, confidence and skills to build a better life. Studies show that if a girl goes to school: - her income will increase by 25% - she is three times less likely to be HIV-positive - her children will be 40% more likely to live beyond the age of five - she will marry later and have two fewer children.
