The project will be delivered in workshop form & facilitated by professionals from within the media industry. Young people will be encouraged to learn & develop the essential skills involved in creating a media output which both involves & informs the community. The young people will be encouraged to manage & develop the project between formal sessions via outreach work within the community & by working at the Centres with Youth Workers. At the end of the 12 week period, the participants will have produced an interactive web-based youth magazine & a 5 minute pilot TV programme for possible broadcast on the Community Channel.
