Situation

We know from the experiences of our own service-users and from other disabled people that there is a lack of high-quality, adapted holiday accommodation for people with physical disabilities. There is especially a lack of suitable and accessible accommodation for families with a disabled child, meaning that many are unable to enjoy an inclusive family holiday.

Solution

The solution - Disability Action Yorkshire is commissioning a holiday lodge at an existing site in Louth, Lincolnshire. The lodge is purpose-built and will be fully accessible for disabled people. The three-bedroom accommodation will include: tracked ceiling hoists, profiling beds and en-suite wet-room
