Situation
Lack of specialist support and counselling for child victims of sexual crime. Children that are unable to access specialist services may often carry unresolved trauma into later adult life, affecting their whole life course.
Solution
Provide bespoke and unique support and/or counselling to child victims and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, to ensure that correct support or therapy helps to address the trauma of the abuse. Helping individuals to improve their chances in their own life course, lessening negative coping mechanisms that may involve drugs, alcohol or self harm.
