Since THE BUTTERFLY TREE was founded after a business incentive trip to Zambia, the charity has over twenty projects underway and has made a substantial difference to rural communities decimated by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. 100% OF ALL MONEY RAISED has gone into water and sanitation projects, housing for widows and the elderly and sustainable businesses are offered to those in need. Development in schools through building classrooms and teachers' houses, orphan sponsorship and feeding programs and education on HIV/AIDS and other key issues. OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATION FOR EVERY ORPHAN. Improved health issues through HIV/AIDS, malaria and feeding programs, besides caring for the elderly. We provide medical supplies and equipment to rural clinics. Provide safe, clean water for schools and villages. These remote areas receive very little aid and most people are living in extreme poverty and deplorable conditions, surviving on less than 50p a day. The trustees regularly visit the projects and all our experienced members both in the UK and Zambia are volunteers. NO PERSONAL OR ADMINSITRATION FEES ARE DEDUCTED.
