    Situation

DASS provides this scheme to those who are in reciept of benefits, pensions, student grants/loans or a very low income. Applicants come to us when they have been left with a large veterinary account that they are struggling to pay. Often these applications relate to serious conditions, where if left untreated, the dog may perish. The Society provides a partial (or in some cases full) payment towards the veterinary account. This is an extremely popular and useful scheme, assisting with the treatment of in the region of 4- 10 dogs a month. A donation of this amount would safeguard this scheme for the next 5 years approximately, freeing the Society to use their funds for the core activities of re-homing dogs and providing advice on dog ownership.
