    Situation

DASS covers any non-routine medical expenses that a dog re-homed by us may suffer from when they go to their new home with an existing condition or aged over 8 years old. In effect, we act as a pet insurance company would do, as owners of dogs who are re-homed under these circumstances are often not able to find insurance cover for their pets. We find this encourages people to take on dogs that they otherwise might not consider due to the financial implications of their ongoing veterinary bills. A donation of this amount would safeguard this vital scheme for approximately 4 years, freeing the Society to focus our funds on core activities such as the re-homing of dogs and providing advice on dog ownership.
