    Situation

Within its new Ackers Base Camp building, The Ackers wishes to install the following sustainable energy devices, Ground Source Heat Pump Solar Thermal Panels Wind Turbine and Under Floor Heating The proposed microgeneration technologies will feed a four hundred and fifty litre solar storage vessel supported by a boiler. This system design will allow for the Ackers Base Camp buildings supply of all of its hot water and heating. Within its existing Ackers Residential Center, The Ackers proposes to replace the existing hotwater tank with a four hundred and fifty litre solar storage vessel fed by five solar thermal collecters situated upon the roof. The idea of these environmental energy efficient practices is to help reduce The Ackers current carbon footprint whilst educating those who use The Ackers and the community around about the positive effect of new technologies can have in saving the environment.
