The Ackers Archery Project . Providing those from a disadvantaged area with access to archery within a safe and secure environment with floodlighting facilities and facilities for those individuals with disabilities to enjoy the sport.

    Situation

    The Ackers requires funding to redevelop its archery area, This includes -Providing matting for wheelchair users in a sport that is fast becoming a keen and popular sport for those with disabilities. -Providing new equipment, such as bosses, bows and arrows. -Providing netting and lighting. The overall budget for this project is £21.000 And will open up new opportunities and experiences for all the users of The Ackers as well as opening up archery to those with disabilities. The area will also provide The Ackers with a platform to open up archery as part of its after school and holiday clubs opening up this enjoyable sport to children of all ages and abilities within this highly disadvantaged multi-cultural part of inner city Birmingham.
