Physical and social activities are well known to have a positive effect on people's well being and at RHL we facilitate a variety of activities for older people held at community venues that include rehabilitation classes, social groups and education.

Rushmoor contains areas experiencing significant levels of deprivation which starkly contrast with neighbouring affluent areas. With an ageing population, health conditions, trips and falls as well as social isolation are some of the issues faced by the local community. Rushmoor has a growing Nepali community (circa 13%) where a majority are vulnerable and elderly . They are unable to speak English, many are illiterate and unaware of and unable to access local services.
RHL offers low cost easily accessible Exercise Classes at community venues that give older people the opportunity to make steps towards better health while removing some of the barriers that would prevent participation at sports and leisure centres. The activities also encourage socials interaction with teas and coffees a feature at the end of the sessions. Rehabilitation classes and steady and strong classes provide help and support to those with health conditions.
