In 2013, Headway Devon heard that the building which has housed our busy day centre for over 16 years would be closing and we would have to find new premises. We began the search for a venue which would provide enough space for both our bustling centre and our busy office, and were delighted to find a building available for purchase in the city centre that would be able to accommodate our needs. This building was available to purchase and we have 18 months to raise the funds to complete.

The building, a wool drying shed dating from the 1700s, is a central part of Exeter's history which was converted around 10 years ago into a state-of-the-art learning skills centre. The building is very well equipped for our needs with a fully-fitted learning kitchen for independent living skills sessions; a well-equipped IT suite; a choice of large and smaller rooms for running a wide range of potential activities; and full disabled access including toilets and a lift.
