    Situation

To continue to develop our support services for young people aged 13 - 21 and the new communities in Waltham Forest, such as the Romanians, Gypsies, Polish, Albanians and South Africans . We want to develop specialist services and employ a young persons counsellor/worker and volunteer counsellors that address the above borough priorities, which will improve the effectiveness of the organisation who will be able to support victims on a one–to-one basis and/or facilitate young peopless and adult support groups by To train and retain volunteers/counsellors that represent the diverse communities of Waltham Forest so the organisation has the capacity to reduce the effects of the crime of sexual abuse on the victims and the community To support victims so that the effects of crimes: incest, childhood sexual abuse, serious sexual assault, rape, torture, mental and emotional abuse and domestic violence is reduced and to help prevent the ongoing and the worsening effects of these experiences. This will reduce the need for long term medical, mental health care, homelessness, loss of time at work, school/college and a reduction of repeat victimisation.
