    Situation

Part of an ongoing partnership with Manchester City Mission, Barnabus and local churches, Street Soccer currently works with the homeless in Manchester, Bolton and Salford but is looking to set up new projects in Stockport and Oldham, and then more throughout the Greater Manchester area. Street Soccer in it’s original locations has been running for several years and seen many men brought from seemingly hopeless situations into supportive communities where they have been able to get the help needed to reintegrate into mainstream society and gain housing, jobs and security. Currently Ambassadors’ involvement is on a voluntary basis in current projects. In order to give more staff time and resources to these projects, and the new locations planned, we now need funding and can no longer operate on a voluntary basis. Two FA qualified coaches will work on 4 project locations for 3 hours each, making a total of £300 per week in total, or £75 per project area. Therefore over the year (and there are no holidays for the projects!) this makes a total of £15600 for the 4 locations, or £3900 for each location.
