The wide-spread human rights abuses affecting the civilian population as part of Colombia’s civil war include forced disappearances, extrajudicial executions, torture, assassinations, threats and all manner of harassment, and have lead to the displacement of over 4 million people in Colombia.

The Caravana volunwill advocate on behalf of human rights lawyers at risk, with letters of intervention, reporting to parliamentarians, leaders of the international legal profession and meetings with Colombian Ambassador. We will publish the reports of the 50 Caravana delegates from their visits to 8 regions in Colombia during 2012. We will organise an international launch of the Report in Colombia, CanadaUSA, and various European capitals and organise a Colombia lawyer’s speaker tour of Europe
