Earlier in 2012 the arts sector was shocked to learn that Shared Experience left the revenue funded portfolio of Arts Council England: in the words of Frank McGuiness, it was “as if one of the theatre’s most beautiful children had been kicked in the teeth”. The company is now battling to continue making and touring its astonishing productions to theatres and audiences nationwide. The company needs to raise £90,000 per year to sustain its infrastructure, artistic and education programmes.
Solution
The company's 2012 Fundraising Party aims to raise at least £20,000 towards its annual target. Thanks to the generosity of Nica Burns who is supporting the costs of the evening, every penny raised at the event or in advance online will go directly towards our fundraising campaign, supporting our artistic programme and safeguarding the future of this acclaimed theatre company.
