This Symposium aims to reinforce the profile of neuroblastoma by bringing together the UK and European neuroblastoma clinical, research and charity communities and to foster collaboration amongst them, targeted at improving the treatment and care for high risk neuroblastoma patients.

Situation
Because the level of research funding is comparatively modest and because neuroblastoma research involves a wide range of disciplines from basic developmental biology through advanced computational chemistry for drug discovery to mouse models and clinical trials to assess the efficacy of new treatment protocols, there is a recognised need to encourage networking amongst researchers in these different areas.
Solution
Our aim is that the Symposium will facilitate this collaboration and cross-fertilisation of ideas. The Neuroblastoma Research Symposium is a timely way to appraise the UK research activity in the area and to encourage the submission of established and pump-priming research proposals.
