The poetry and music of Ivor Gurney is heartbreaking in its beauty and and anguish, in its expression of his yearning and vulnerability. He preserved his love of the Cotswolds in poetry, and there are few poets or musicians who fundamentally belong to a place as Ivor Gurney does to Gloucestershire. It is right that he should be honoured in the Cathedral that he loved and served in as chorister and organist.

This project will ensure his life and works are celebrated through the commissioning of a new commemorative stained glass window in the Cathedral's Lady Chapel.
