This study examines new methods of investigations to try and determine the cause of death in such cases, based on applying knowledge of serious diseases in living children to post-mortem testing. Identification of better autopsy investigations will allow the cause of death to be determined more accurately in SIDS in addition to allowing development of more targeted prevention strategies.
