Our aim is to offer young cancer patients and their families a much needed break together, creating smiles, hopes and precious memories. Our main objective is to raise sufficient capital to purchase a holiday retreat on the Greek island of Crete to welcome and support at least 20 families a year.

Situation
When a child is diagnosed with a life threatening illness the family often face financial hardship, with parents having to take time off work (or in some cases give up work altogether) to stay in hospital with their child. We therefore plan to arrange and pay for all flights and transfers for the family and provide 24 hr practical and emotional support while the family stay in the retreat.
Solution
Each year at least 20 families of children and young people (0-20years)affected by cancer will receive a much needed break from long hospital stays, traumatic medical procedures and cancer related treatments – so that they may spend quality time together recuperating and enjoying life as a ‘normal’ family – strengthening relationships and creating lasting happy memories
