The role of the Education Advisor is to work both locally and nationally to develop and support education initiatives that promote the aims and objectives of the NSPCC Education Programme. They are involved in important public policy, campaigning, promotional and awareness-raising work related to the Education Programme, and in the broader FULL STOP Campaign.

    Situation

    An Education Advisor will work in partnership with any agency or individuals connected to education. These include local education authorities, schools, teachers, teacher training establishments and independent sector providers. Their aim is to promote school environments that are safe, understanding and responsive, where children are given respect, guidance and support.. Advice is offered to education providers on a variety of issues including peer support schemes, anti-bullying strategies, and safeguarding policies and strategies. Training and longer term consultancy on these issues is also offered.
