The NSPCC recognises that victims of abuse need to be supported and cared for on their own terms. Young People’s Centres (YPC’s) are places where they can share their worries, report their concerns and decide themselves what practical support they need.

    Situation

The eight NSPCC Centres are designed to help young people aged between nine and 18. Each Centre is unique because the young people are able to control how they are run. But one thing they all have in common is accessibility – the centres are open outside school hours and at the weekends. The centres have a range of services including walk-in facilities, access to computers, individual counselling and recreational activities.
