    Situation

Since June 2006 more than £2million has been spent to bring St Luke's up to and beyond the requirements set by the Care Standards Agency. The hospital now has a range of wonderful improvements including two state-of-the-art operating theatres, fully lead-lined and with laminar flow air-conditioning. It also has five consulting rooms, better access for people with disabilities and much improved ward accommodation for recuperating patients. The upgraded hospital has impressed all who have seen it and, having recently re-opened, is treating clergy patients once again. Initially, the refurbished hospital will undertake a similar range of treatments to that which it did prior to the refurbishment. However, it is capable of doing so much more than that, providing we can equip it to do so. We have identified key items of equipment that we would like to install that will enable us to get the most from the new facilities. These range from the provision of theatre kits to the complete fitting-out of our new Day Case Unit at £176,700. And in order to raise the £653,940 needed for this equipment we need your help.
