LYC addresses two issues for our young people; Firstly there is simply no other opportunity for young people in the UK to access world-class training and facilities. This means so much talent is lost in this country and also that our aspiring performers cannot progress to the highest levels. Secondly in our wider community the need to engage young people in positive activities is well known. Through Circus we can connect to participants no other artform or sport can in truly powerful ways

LYC provides a structured environment that allows us to both nurture young peoples talents and ensure we are growing their confidence as well as their skills. This also means we can integrate young people from our Outreach projects effectively. We now see LYC students winning places on our Degree programme. For most this is the first time anyone in their family has accessed Higher Education. 93% of the graduates from our BA are successfully working in Circus Arts 3 years after graduation.
