    Situation

In February 2009, Arts Council England (South East) invited their two regularly funded organisations in Milton Keynes - The Stables & Milton Keynes Gallery - to submit a proposal to assist with the development of the artistic offering in Milton Keynes. Following discussions it was agreed to pilot an international arts festival in 2010: Pilot a festival of international arts in 2010 that raises the artistic adventure of Milton Keynes, surprising its residents and visitors and providing a creative springboard for future artistic engagement. It is envisaged that a successful pilot will grow into a bennial event that will contribut towards a shift in the social, economic and artistic fabric of Milton Keynes. Extra funding is required to complete a truly unique event in Milton Keynes.
