To work with those who have a sudden loss of sight to develop the skills needed to adjust and cope. We will provide a counselling service and advocacy service for the service user. We will then work with the individual to help them adjust, i.e with equipment or with lifestyle changes.

Situation
It work with the individual at the onset to support and prevent social isolation and mental health problems. It works to lower the incidences of suicide risk. AS sight loss is very frightening the individuals are offered a counselling programme rehabilitation programme which caters for their own needs. We will work with other organisations to source and provide equipment and other gadgets that will help normalise sight loss. The projects main aim is to speed up the transition to coping.
Solution
It will provide the lifeline that many are searching for. Early intervention will offer reassurance and the services will prevent the dreaded loneliness that many experience when they lose their sight.
