    Situation

Young People have poor awareness of the volunteering opportunities created by the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games and the skills and values that can be gained from these. There is little signposting information specifically tailored to young people across the London Boroughs. Young people also have little say on how they engage with the Olympics or an opportunity to free voice their concerns and recommendations.

    Solution

This project allows young Londoners to identify how to engage with the Olympics in 2012. It brings young people together from across all the London boroughs to decide for themselves how they will work with the Olympics. This project trains young people to campaign, network and advocate for Olympics volunteering opportunities. Including a youth-led website that links 2012 volunteering opportunities together and a forum that is youth-led and engages with infrastructure organisations.
