To support people with a disability that affects their memory using popular music to assist short and long term memory. Those suitable would include people in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease, those who have survived a stroke.

Situation
There has been an identified link between music and the recovery and treatment of the affects of stroke and alzheimer's disease, however there is no service local to Swindon that provides this kind of service. It is estimated that 1020 in Wiltshire per year will have a stroke and over 5500 people are living with the effects of dementia.
Solution
Developing individual we will use a combination of music from important periods of the service users lives to assist in triggering long term memories in conjunction with creating their own beats and rhythms using our instruments and music technology to assist with short term memory retention.
