To establish a Vehicle Fund to ensure the safe and reliable operation, maintenance and where necessary replacement of Greyhound Rescue West of England vans – vital to rescue, care for and re-home needy dogs all over the country.

Situation
Much of work rescuing and re-homing dogs is reliant on a fleet of eight vans, used to collect dogs coming into GRWE care, and to transport them to kennels, vets and events. Without our vehicles our work would grind to a halt. Our current vehicles are variously 7-11 years old and are starting to incur large repair costs. Given this, and the ongoing demand for them to be pressed into service for the rescue and care of more dogs, we will incur further costs to maintain and replace vans.
Solution
The project will ensure that funding is reserved for maintenance of our current vans and if necessary for the replacement of another van within the next year. This will mean that expenditure will not have to be diverted away from our focus of aiding dogs in need.
