Brockholes is already one of the finest sites for bird watching in the North West. We are creating a 166 hectare (or 130 football pitches) haven for wildlife and a place for people to enjoy nature. It will be an inspirational place to visit: a mosaic of open water, reedbed, flower-rich grassland and woodland It is encircled by the River Ribble, where otters are returning and adjoins the largest ancient woodland in Lancashire (also in our care) where badgers and bluebells thrive. We will welcome 250,000 people to the site every year. They will be welcomed into a visitor centre that will be an exemplar of sustainable design. Would you like to be involved? A donation of £1 million would ensure the building is given a name of your choice. After that, your involvement could be as much or as little as you like – but with over 27 million people seeing the site from the M6 each year, you are bound to be associated with a highly successful project!
