Situation
The home is in need of refurbishment and its facilities do not suit the complex needs of the current 13 residents. We have already raised two-thirds of the costs, but need to source a further £100,000 to meet the full target. The refurbished home will address the current problems around lack of space and accessibility to those in wheelchairs. A new training kitchen and sensory room will be added - as well as a sensory garden and accessible paths through the beautiful gardens. This development is linked to a new care home currently being built on the same site. Both homes will offer high quality care and support on a 24 hour basis, as well as activities and the promotion of independent living.
