From research and calls made to the helpline, it is clear that parental alcoholism can have a devastating effect on children. A Nacoa study with 4,000 respondents estimates 2.6 million children in the UK living with parental alcohol problems.
Solution
The work we do is all about planning for a more positive future for children of alcohol dependent parents, creating an opportunity for those children to see that the world can be different from the one they have always known, and they can make positive choices for themselves, irrespective of whether their parents continue to drink.
