    Situation

Creative Skills for Life, A year long educational project, aims to enable deprived young people to access high quality arts training. Planning, facilitating and evaluating workshops in drama, dance, music, creative writing, visual arts and creative media will be at the core of the young people's training. This combined with learning how to facilitate the production of live performances, administrative skills, budgeting, stage management, marketing and publicity, will enrich their training and enhance their Further Education and employment prospects. Following the Arts Award framework, the young people will undertake training in Arts Practice and Arts Leadership completing an arts challenge, reviewing arts events, researching arts careers and pathways, and leading arts activities. They will record their achievements in a portfolio, including records of work they have seen and produced, their personal reflections on the process and their own research material. An integral part of this training programme will be planning and delivery of a small-scale arts project by the young people leading to The Silver Arts Award Level 2 qualification on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). £1,280 will pay for the complete training of one young person. £400 will pay for 1 training session for ten young people £350 will pay for the accreditation costs of ten young people £100 will pay for travel costs and refreshments for 10 young people for one session £35 will pay for the accreditation costs of one young people
