Support this project and you will help transform the lives of vulnerable women and children living in Zambia who lack a year round food supply and live in severe poverty. The project will empower women with all they need (but the hard work will be their own) ensuring that they are able to make the changes necessary to climb out of the trap of poverty and inequality.

    Situation

Women living in the Eastern Province of Zambia are often marginalised and lack the power to be able to make positive changes to their lives. With your help, the project will build the confidence and status of women so that they are able to address the problems they face. As a result, they will have year round food security, income, improved nutrition and health and access to education. Not only that, but women will develop self-esteem, assurance and a supporting network of friends and community members. All the things we take for granted, but these women have lacked. The central key to the solution will be productive livestock - providing food, fertilizer and a source of income - which in combination with in-depth training, will have far reaching effects on the lives of these women and children.
