    Situation

Our work with noma-affected children has really taken off in Ethiopia. There is much work to do! Up until now we have been able to base our team of surgeons at the Yekatit 12 hospital in Addis. However, the hospital can only let us have use of the operating theatres for one trip a year and the need is so great that we would like to increase the number of teams per year. We also need a place where our patients can spend a week or two improving their nutritional health, prior to an operation and also a few weeks recovering after surgery. Therefore we hope to secure funding to enable us to establish our own base in Addis. In between team visits, the hospital would undertake less major operations (eg cleft palate) with the locally employed staff. This project is in its early stages, please contact us directly for more information. Your help could help save hundreds of children from being shunned all their lives - you could give them the chance of a new life.
