At Cambridge Veterinary School Hospital we are striving to provide the best care for animals with cancer from throughout the UK. We urgently need to replace our 32 year old radiotherapy machine and provide a protective building to house it - many thousands of animals will benefit, giving them the quality of life they deserve.

    Situation

Did you know that as many as one in five dogs and cats are affected by cancer? Or that cancer accounts for almost half the deaths in pets over the age of ten? Will you help us in our fight against cancer - the largest single cause of death in pets? Since it opened in 1991, the Cancer Therapy Unit at Cambridge Veterinary School has helped many thousands of patients. We urgently need to raise £1.3 million for a new Linear Accelerator, to deliver radiotherapy treatment, and structural work to the building in order to house the new, more powerful machine. Our Cancer Therapy Unit will adopt the latest techinques in diagnosing and treating cancer - for the benefit of humans and animals alike - as well as educating veterinarians in treating cancer patients. In order to ensure that our vital cancer treatment work can continue, we need your help!
