Situation
Sign helps in-patients within the mental health system make their choice known in case reviews, planning meetings and Mental Health Tribunals. We also support deaf people who have contact with social services and housing departments so they can live more independently. £200,000 will allow Sign to provide nearly 2,000 hours of advocacy support. Funding for this service means we can avoid moving towards a more fee-based income where clients are asked to pay to cover the cost of support they receive.
