    Situation

Volunteers have always been encouraged to be part of our work at Bendrigg. We need funding, not only to continue our work with volunteers but, to develop the scheme to benefit more people. The Volunteer Co-ordinator will recruit and mentor our existing volunteers and would create further volunteering opportunities arising from our new indoor activities hall. During the course of the next 2 years we wish to increase the number of volunteers coming to Bendrigg, to 200 each year. Bendrigg Trust has specific expertise over 30 years, in working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, those with a disability and those with a history of offending behaviour. We aim to encourage disabled, disadvanraged and 'youth at risk' into our volunteer programme to, not only help us to run our residential activity courses for disabled people, but to provide the volunteers with oportunities for personal growth and development.
