'Company' parent and toddler groups support over 50 families every week - providing a safe environment for children to play, and a much needed source of encouragement, advice and social interaction to parents. We believe by supporting parents we can benefit the long-term future of a child. So the groups also offer home visits, life skills tuition, help with debt, form-filling and parenting skills sessions.

    Situation

Our St. Ann's group operates in Nottingham's most deprived ward, in a city ranked as the 7th most deprived Local Authority in the country. We support many people who parent alone. 100% of the team are volunteers and the St. Ann's group is free to attend. This makes it very accessible to families who do not engage easily with support services, and Company is by far the best attended service in the area. Gifts will be used to facilitate our new mentoring scheme; supporting clients who are in the process of seeking assistance from trained volunteers.
