    Situation

We want to be there for our disabled Partners through thick and thin, to help them care for, train and manage their Canine Partner assistance dog so that each individual can achieve as much independence and quality of life as possible. Our Aftercare Support service is made up of a team of regional Aftercare Assistants who visit their local partnerships when needed. Our Aftercare Service is unique to our organisation and is made up of healthcare professionals and canine experts, to ensure each individual's needs are being met and each dog's well-being is maintained. Each partnership receives at least 7 visits during their first year of placement to ensure they have all the advice and support needed during this crucial time. Thereafter, the partnership will receive at least 2 visits each year, more if needed, to help the partnership with more training and advice as needed. The Aftercare Assistants are also available when needed in an emergency.
