Put quite simply – we believe in the power of cricket as a force for good and we do everything we can to grow the game among young people in the UK. We are seeking the help of a wealthy backer to expand upon the good work we do in this field.

    Situation

Our cricket giving spans from equipment, to all weather pitches, right up to organising and funding youth cricket competitions and coaching schemes for under-privileged children. We want to give more kit away and put more pitches in place to get kids playing the sport. Year on year the demand always outweighs what we can afford to giveaway. Given a cash injection of £100,000 in addition to our own fundraisng we could supply an extra 400 kitbags full of junior cricket equipment to clubs and schools over the next 5 years and arrest the decline of this great sport among our youngsters. Not only is the development of grassroots cricket important for the higher echelons of the game, but it provides an invaluable source of self-respect and physical activity for the children that we bring the game to. Those who have played cricket know that it is one of the best teachers of some invaluable lessons in life – teamwork, responsibility, patience, concentration, hard work - that are otherwise lacking in many of the deprived communities that we target.
