Our criteria is speech or movement or learning difficulties and this can cover a wide range of disabilities from Autism, Downs syndrome, Cerebral Palsy to Parkinsons Disease, Stroke or Road Traffic Accident victims. We are a national charity and have no age, gender or background limit. We receive applications for assistance in the provision of communication aids, which can be specialised computer systems or voice synthesisers, on a regular basis. Our 'shopping list ' constantly averages £40k to £50k. as we fund people but receive other applications in their stead. Our fundraising projects are, therefore, constantly on-going to replace our depleted funds and raise more monies to supply the required equipment. Once equipment is issued we offer full support by way of a maintenance and repair system the costs of which, again, come out of our general funds.
